Settings hold values; assignments say where they apply. What applies to a workspace, a member or a meeting is its settings block, the settings block. See Settings. Every field is a value or a code, never null: inherit leaves the field to the next assignment down.

A name to find the settings by, at most 200 characters; null for none.

Whether meetings get recorded, and how.

true records, false does not, inherit leaves it to the next assignment. With only a workspaces: or members: condition it applies to every meeting; with meetings: categories, to the meetings in all of them. A scope with categories sets only this field.
